Who Is Next?

Why are humans driven by the urge for dominance and conquest? Are we innately to experience the effects of wars? I wondered why it has become so commonplace to “hate” a person, ideology, country or a difference in race, culture  or economic status?

Here we are in the Spring of 2021. After a year or more of digesting headlines focusing on China as the perpetrator of the pandemic spread.

Sure as tides rise under the forces of a full moon, Asians are being nastily confronted and physically attacked. What has led to such simplistic, discriminatory and racist thinking?

The mentifcts.com blog site has written on the “breaking news” syndrome and the emotional effect such continuous messages could have on us. Have we naively accepted that what we read or hear in opinionated sound bites is presented with integrity and with authentically balanced viewpoints? If our brain and culture thirst for news and knowledge leads to “hate”, what hope is there for the future of mankind?
